SUFA, a
progressive and expanding consulting firm, is soliciting proposals for
subcontractors or partners. SUFA
specializes in providing consulting urban forestry and arboricultural services
to residential, commercial and governmental clients. The basic line of services includes: pest diagnosis, tree
inventory, tree protection, technical training, expert witness, tree hazard
assessment, and tree valuation.
SUFA
began in 1990 as a part-time consulting firm specializing in providing
services funded by Small Business Administration and Urban and Community
Forestry Grants. SUFA started in
West Alabama and has subsequently expanded into Mississippi and Georgia. During
the past ten years, SUFA has had tremendous growth in coverage area, services
and projects. It has grown to the point, where current staff can no longer do
the work load.
So
we looking for a person who is wants to work as a consulting urban forester /
arborist on either a part time or full time situation. This position offers
the candidate the possibility to grow within the undeveloped consulting urban
forestry and arboricultural industry and to make an income with very few
limits.
Basic
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Forestry, Forestry,
Horticulture or closely related field.
Certified
Arborist or ability to become a Certified Arborist.
Ability
to work independently.
Ability
to travel one to two days per week.
Computer
literate in Microsoft Office 2000 Products.
Ability
to effectively communicate orally and verbally.
Desired Additional Requirements:
Registered
Forester or ability to become registered
Registered
Consulting Arborist or ability to become registered
Willingness
to live near one of SUFA’s current offices in Columbus, MS, Northport and Birmingham, AL or Douglasville GA.
